For a while I had trouble coming up with Raphael because I had two images in mind but neither one worked alone. On one hand I felt strongly that Raphael was Native American, but on the other hand Raphael reminded me of a buddy of mine who is a doctor on Hawaii. Raphael is a patron of healing and is described as the friendliest of the Archangels; the kind of guy you'd want to go on a road trip with.

For me Raphael makes me think of the summers I spent working in Virginia at a theatre. In theatre you spend a lot of time in the dark so at dinner time I would sit outside on the porch and watch the sun go down. I associate a special kind of peace of mind with the University of Virginia in the late afternoon in the summer which I feel is the essence of Raphael. But its not something I can describe- I recommend you try it for yourself!
