Though I wanted to do a series of angels in order to explore different ways of expressing age-old ideas I thought it best to begin with a fairly traditional style angel in long flowing robes with great white wings. Lets face it, most people think of celestial harp playing ladies be-robed in long and flowing gowns and sporting the heavenly headgear to dramatic effect, often perched on a sun lit cloud in the heavens. It seemed like a good place to start (though admittedly I couldn't bring myself to do the cloud thing). Angel is the kind of angel you'd want as a household guardian; gentle, hopeful, elegant, and pleasant.
